The Scientific Experiment for the Mainstream Wing Chun Practitioners
This experiment is recommended in our disclosure.
We have been receiving many comments from some mainstream Wing Chun practitioners who insist that there's no way that our disclosure is valid because their mainstream WC had "worked" for them.
This is why we leave it to science and data to explain to the public and the mainstream Wing Chun guys what is wrong and what is happening.
The method to test whether the instruction of the mainstream Wing Chun is scientific or unscientific is to check whether their performance of attributes is worse than an untrained person.
Attributes refer to speed, power, balance, reach (of techniques), mobility, agility and reaction time. Additionally, also monitor the condition of the body while they are performing the techniques.
In our disclosure, we recommend that a few participants should participate in this experiment. If fairness is a must, then you should try to get participants with similar physique and experience.
Get 5 participants:
Hire some sports specialists and physiotherapists to monitor and analyze their performances (attributes) and conditions (body mechanics and human musculoskeletal system) while they perform their drills, sparring, Chi Sao and so forth.

Get 5 participants:
- Mainstream Wing Chun practitioner
- 1 untrained persons (street fight or brawl)
- Other martial artists (e.g. Hung Gar, boxing, Karate)
Hire some sports specialists and physiotherapists to monitor and analyze their performances (attributes) and conditions (body mechanics and human musculoskeletal system) while they perform their drills, sparring, Chi Sao and so forth.
Experiment
- Get the specialists to monitor and record.
- Get all of them to perform their training or fighting routines.
- Get them to spar (with protective gears).
- Analyze the data.
- Conclude.
What did you observe?
- If the experiment was done dutifully, the mainstream Wing Chun guy should have the worst attributes and his body mechanics was kind of distorted. His techniques should be straining his human musculoskeletal system
- The untrained person had similar scientific use of the human body although his performance was not enhanced like the other martial artists.
Further Experiment (Optional)
If the above experiment doesn't convince you that the mainstream Wing Chun instruction is unscientific and harmful, proceed to the next experiment.
If the above experiment doesn't convince you that the mainstream Wing Chun instruction is unscientific and harmful, proceed to the next experiment.
- Let the untrained guy go through both training of Wing Chun and a random non-Wing Chun martial art while the specialists monitor the performance again.
- Analyze the data.
- Conclude.
If this experiment was done dutifully, the untrained guy became worse when he received the mainstream Wing Chun training. And he got better after he switched to another martial art.
